How DVA treatment cycles work

A referral covers one treatment cycle of up to 12 sessions or 12 months, whichever comes first. At the end of each cycle we send a report to your GP outlining your progress and recommendations. If more treatment is clinically necessary, your GP can refer you for another cycle.

What treatment involves

Your first visit is an initial consultation with a full assessment. Treatment combines manual therapy to reduce pain and improve range of motion with physical therapy to build strength and stability, supporting your independence and the activities that matter to you. Thom also has a background in residential aged care, falls prevention and mobility.
