Golf injuries we commonly see

  • Low back pain from repeated rotation

  • Hip pain and restricted hip rotation

  • Shoulder pain, including rotator cuff-related pain

  • Golfer's elbow and tennis elbow

  • Wrist and forearm pain

  • Neck and upper back stiffness

How we assess golfers

We assess the area that hurts, then look at the mobility, strength and control your swing relies on: upper back rotation, hip rotation, trunk control and shoulder function. We'll also ask about practice volume, equipment and recent changes.

How we treat golf injuries

Manual therapy is used to reduce pain and improve restricted rotation and range of motion. Physical therapy builds the strength and stability to support your swing and help reduce the chance of the injury coming back.

  • Soft tissue therapy, joint articulation and muscle energy technique

  • Mobility work for upper back and hip rotation

  • Golf-specific strength and conditioning

  • Advice on practice volume and warm-ups
